KARACHI. All four bodies including father and daughter were recovered on Thursday by rescue workers that were drowned into a tidal beach during picnic on the Independence Day. Five people, belonging to the same family, drowned off Hawke’s Bay on Independence Day when the family from New Karachi area of District Central of Karachi reached the beach to make a picnic. Police officials said that the incident occurred when initially the two teenaged girls who were later identified as sixteen-year-old Dua Fatima and Hamna Imran, 14, got drowned while bathing into a sea and the other family members jumped into a sea to rescue them. The three others who jumped into a sea and attempted to rescue them were also later identified as Fatima’s father Zakir Hussain, 42, Osama, 20, and Amin, 22. The rescuers, however, managed to recover three of them on Monday – two of them – Zakir and his daughter Dua Fatima had died while the third Hamza, 17, was in unconscious condition while the bodies of the remaining two – Amin and Hamna Imran remained missing and the rescuers had recovered their bodies on Tuesday. All the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, Karachi and later handed over to their families for burial process. Police officials said that a large number of people had reached the beach to for picnic on Independence Day despite the provincial government had imposed a ban on swimming in the sea. It is permanent to mention that the unfortunate people of Karachi have no where else to go on holidays except beaches where deadly incidents take place on every occasion.
