KARACHI: At least three suspected terrorists were shot down in different parts of the country late Wednesday night.
Police gunned down a suspected terrorist in North Karachi near W-22 bus stop in a shootout but two of the suspects accomplices managed to flee the scene.
They also recovered six pistols, three ‘Awam’ bombs, four hand grenades and a China rifle from the terrorist’s possession.
In another shootout that took place in New Karachi Industrial Area, a terrorist was injured in an encounter while his partner managed to flee before being caught.
A pistol, a repeater, eight mobile phones and two motorcycles were also recovered from the suspects.
In another encounter, The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) stated that it had killed two terrorists in Multan’s Sher Shah Bund area after carrying out an operation on a tip-off, while three suspects had managed to escape into the darkness.
Police seized on a cache of explosives and weapons from their hideout.
