ISLAMABAD: Former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Lt General (r) Amjad Hussain appeared before the Joint Investigation Team, formed to probe the alleged corruption of the Sharifs.
Amjad recorded his statement regarding Hudaibiya Paper Mills case. The case is among the others initiated against Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif in 2000 during the regime of former president Pervez Musharraf.
The Supreme Court’s special bench has directed the JIT to finalise its report till July 10.
Nawaz, Shahbaz, Hussain Nawaz, Hasan Nawaz and Safdar Awan have recorded their statements before the JIT.
The six-member JIT team has summoned Hassan Nawaz on July 3, Hussain Nawaz on July 4 and Maryam Nawaz on July 5.
