ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended on Wednesday the imprisonment terms of the prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, son in law Captain (r) Safdar.
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Captain (r) Safdar had filed a plea challenging the Avenfield verdict against them and the appeal has been accepted today.
A two-member bench, comprising of Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, heard the plea today.
A bench comprised of Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb gave the judgment on pleas filed by Nawaz, Maryam and Capt (r) Safdar against the Avenfield conviction.
The two-member bench ordered the former premier, his daughter and son-in-law to submit the bail bonds of worth Rs 0.5 million each.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Akram Qureshi concluded his arguments in the case.
Yesterday, during the hearing, the court insisted that the verdict would be announced even if the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor remains unable to conclude arguments.
In July this year, an accountability court in Islamabad had sentenced the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to 10 years imprisonment, his daughter Maryam Nawaz was sentenced to seven years, while Captain (r) Safdar was sentenced to one-year imprisonment.
