The Pakpattan Saddar police rescued a 12-year-old girl, Urooj Fatima, who had been held captive for 2 monts by her captors.
According to the police spokesperson, Urooj Fatima was kidnapped from Pakpattan and then sold to a brothel in Larkana by her abductors. The police said the young girl was sold for Rs45,000. The Saddar Police said Fatima had been reunited with her mother, Bakhtawar Bibi.
The spokesman added that 2 months ago, Bakhtawar Bibi gave a written request to Sadar Pakpattan police station that his 12-year-old daughter Urooj Fatima was abducted from Pakpattan by unknown suspects. The Saddar police registered a case under section 365 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unidentified kidnappers and started investigation. During the investigation, the victim’s mother told the police that 2 months ago, an unknown boy named Ahmed, a resident of Pakpattan, used to harass my daughter over the phone, apart from that we do not suspect anyone.
The Police by using modern technology found Ahmed from Fish Chowk Pakpattan and arrested him and a breakthrough came from mobile data of accused Ahmed, indicating that Fatima contacted a family at a local shrine. Later, she fell into the hands of a Lahore-based criminal network comprising three women and four men. A police investigation unveiled that Fatima was kidnapped and Initially transported to Multan, she was ultimately sold to a brothel in Larkana. The Pakpattan police first conducted a raid in Multan, and it led to the recovery of the girl from Larkana. The police arrested Parveen Bibi, Aneela Yasmeen, Altaf Bhatti, Shaista, Altaf Husain and Munawwar Abbas Multani involved in abduction.
The Spokesperson said that, the case of 12-year-old girl Urooj Fatima’s abduction was a test case, which was solved by the Pakpattan police in a very professional manner and using modern technical means. Appreciation certificates and cash prizes were given to the police team by the DPO Pakpatan.
