ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chairman and Leader of the House in Senate Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq on Monday said his party had full confidence in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, but the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was working against its mandate.
“The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is working against the spirit of the Supreme Court’s decision, and it seems that the PML-N is its target. The future strategy of the party will be devised after examining the final report of the JIT,” he said.
To a question, he said that many people had reservations over the JIT. Haq said the JIT was acting in a way to target the PML-N, which should not happen.
“Even people who have no association with the PML-N think that it should not happen,” he said. He said that it seemed that someone had been assigned the task of targeting the PML-N, but it was not clear who he was.
