An old dispute between Kalhoro and Narejo communities surfaced once again in the riverine area within the limits of Ketty Mumtaz Police Station on Thursday, in which one notorious wanted dacoit Hakim Narejo was killed and another Javed Narejo injured. Police sources claim that several criminal cases were registered against Hakim Narejo, including murders cases. These sources further said that he was a companion of another dacoits’ gang operated by Pathan alias Pathoo Narejo. The armed clash occurred near Kurio Patan and both sides used sophisticated arms against each other. On receipt of information Ketty Mumtaz police rushed to the scene to take over the body of the criminal. Ketty Mumtaz Police Station SHO Ali Murad Khoso told newsmen that they have received information about the bloody dispute in which wanted bandit Hakim Narejo was killed. He said the killed gangster was wanted by Larkana police in several cases registered against him at Naundero, Ketty Mumtaz and other police stations. He said they have also received information that another man Javed Narejo has also been injured and his record is being collected. He said further investigation is underway as police party has been sent to the scene of the crime.
